my plates... :3

ALABAMA

This is Alabama's "Professional Firefighter" license plate. I think it is objectively the hardest plate Alabama has ever produced. I don't think many other states have a plate that is literal flames. Its sick. Alabama also has a "Fire Fighter" plate and a "Retired Firefighter" plate, neither of the two look as cool.

ALASKA

This is Alaska's "Council on the Arts" license plate. I had a difficult time choosing between this plate, 2015(B), and 2019(B). 2015(B) is a classic Alaskan license plate to me, one I've seen in person, an I adore the soft yellows and blues juxtaposed with the bright red of the text. The plate also has a little bear on it! 2019(B) has an illustration of a mountain range with the night sky lit up by the northern lights. Both of these plates are gorgeous, but I find 2015(B) rather common and I am not a huge enjoer of 2019(B)'s art style. I find the council on the arts license plate to be a beautiful, and much less commonly seen (by me) plate. The flowers on the bottom of the plate are a small detail but one of my favorite aspects of the plate.

ARIZONA

This is the standard issue Arizona plate. Arizona has many interesting plates that I was debating between, but I think the standard issue plate is simple and iconic. I find that a gradient makes a plate instantly recognizable, such as CT's blue gradient or NJ's yellow gradient. I also think that the purple background adds a nice level of personalization to the state, there's only a handful of states where a cacti are found in the wild! The blue, yellow, and purple are also a very unique color combination, even outside of license plates, and these colors integrate very nicely on this plate.

ARKANSAS

This is one of many Arkansas Game and Fish Commission license plates. I think the illustration in this plate is just stunning. The art is detailed and the plate to the point, lacking clutter. One of the Game and Fish Commission plates had some type of pointer dog on it, which I imagine is that breeds only license plate representation! I do have a bias for foxes though hence this selection. :)

CALIFORNIA

This is the 1982 standard issue California plate. I find all of California's plates to be ugly. California has so much remarkable nature, so it certainly isn't a lack of inspiration. The 1982 standard issue plate is my compromise with the state of California. That is all I have to say.

COLORADO

This is Colorado's "Rocky Mountain National Park" license plate! You can see the mountains in the background of this plate. That exact mountain image is on every single Colorado issue license plate, however I think this is one of the few plates that integrates it nicely.

CONNECTICUT

Similar to Colorado, every Connecticut plate shares a blue gradient (except for the Congressional Medal of Honor plate). I do think this "Conserve Wildlife" plate is one that integrates the blye gradient well, while still maintaining an aura of the classic Connecticut blue. I can always appreciate a state highlighting their natural wildlife, too!

DELAWARE

This is the Delaware "Lighthouse" plate. I appreciate the simplicity of the design as well as the vibrant yellow of the states name! I think it is very cute how the state is the letter "L" in the name Delaware. :) I don't have too much to say about this plate, I like the design, it is simple, to the point, and pretty!

FLORIDA

This is Floridas "Protect the Panther" plate! Florida has a lot of interesting themes in their vanity plates. I noticed they often use photographs and also use catchy phrases on their plate. This panther plate, although not the best example of a catchy slogan, does fill the former marker. I am usually not a fan of photorealistic plates/photography on plates but I think the cub and the mother are so cute... a value I seem to be highlighting more and more as I continue with these plates. Outside of this plate, florida has a lot of great plates. They have a huge variety on the wildlife represented (sharks, manatees, corals, swordfish, dolphins, all have their OWN plates!) which isn't something you see too common, even when the states have a huge range of native animals (California...).
